Organised and by kind permission of Brian Homewood and Gillian Ransome What3words : vented.unearthly.timidly Meet from 11:00hrs, ready to ride for 11:30hrs The ride will be for approx two and a half hours and will include a pub stop… please bring some money if you want a drink! Please bring something to 'socialise' with for after the ride (tea/coffee/cake etc!) The route will be on lanes and bridleways. Hardhats and plenty of Hiviz MUST be worn. At all times, the groups will go at the speed of the slowest or least confident rider. No one will be pressured to ride outside of their comfort zone. Each group will have a dedicated group leader. Please note that there are approx 10 bridleway gates to be negotiated. This ride is limited to 7 riders. Parking:The lanes to this venue are quite narrow and the turning in to the venue is quite tight from one particular direction, so it is best to access for large lorries ifrom Housefield Road direction. There is plenty of hard standing. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS, as the ground here will be soft and you may get stuck (as well as making a mess!) DRESSAGE TO MUSIC DEMONSTRATION with AVERY MAUD at Saddlesdane EC on JUNE 20th 

Starts at 6.00 pm Avery is a 23 year old former international FEI dressage rider for team GB and currently runs a freestyle business alongside being a freelance rider and dressage coach. She is a full time competitor herself so understands what goes into music tests from not only a technical stand point but also from the perspective of the rider. Avery has worked with a range of riders and horses from prelim to Grand Prix. Creating both floorplans and music that work to highlight the strengths of each partnership and create a harmonious picture between horse and rider. She has had freestyles at the Tokyo and Paris Paralympic Games, HOYS, multiple internationals, premier leagues, and countless championships. Avery’s musical background comes from a childhood of music lessons and she holds a range of qualifications in music examinations including up to Grade 8 in vocals and Grade 7 in flute. We have be asked by Kent County Show to put on a demonstration. some riders have come forward and a Formation Riding Demo is underway. More details when we know more.

SUMMER CAMP at WELWYN  STUD, CT18 7 on June 28th & 29th     FULL

This is our 3rd annual camp. The 2 days include two ridden sessions per day including flat, Poles, SJ & XC. Stabling included. Camp is very laid back and suitable for all levels. THE COST is £180pp a 50% deposit will be required and your place will only be confirmed on receipt of the deposit. The remaining 50% will be due by 31st April 2025. IN HAND SOCIAL WALK - Something a bit different! from  Mockbeggar Farm, Stelling Minnis on JULY 5th 

Something a little different.... This is for those of us who have 12hh and under ponies, either as companions or retired and want to take them for a social outing ... it could be rather jolly... It will be like a dog walk but with our little ponies... Meet at 11am at Mockbeggar Farm, Rhodes Minnis CT4 6XY https://w3w.co/ducks.similar.guesswork Approx 1hr walk in West Wood, if enough interest, we can pop to Lord Whiskey Cafe for Tea/Coffe/Cake (bring some ££). HAVE A GO AT SIDE SADDLE at MOCKBEGGAR FARM on JULY 13th

Have a go at side saddle and 'next steps (for those who have already 'had a go' with Rebekah Marks-Hubbard, BHS Accredited Coach, SSA Instructor. Have a go at side saddle... if you have wanted to try this marvellous art of riding, bring your horse and astride tack to Mockbeggar Farm for one to one instruction. Each session will last approx 1 hour and will include the correct fitting of a side saddle (supplied on the day) to your horse, then you get on and try it under the watchful eye of Rebekah. For those who attended the first session, Rebekah will be able to work with you on moving on with your horse. The saddle will again be fitted and further instruction on now to improve. Bring friends and cameras for this excellent opportunity to see if enjoy this wonderful elegant way of riding. You will need to be wearing a fitted riding hat to current BRC standard, riding gloves, and long boots without buckles, (in addition to your regular riding wear). The charge is £40 Members of FDRC and £45 for non members. Once entry has been received you will be emailed a form that must be completed so that the correct side saddles are brought along to fit the horses entered in for the clinic. A L1 & L2 AFFILIATED TREC COMPETITION  on SATURDAY 20th SEPTEMBER
at Knowler Farm, Curtis Lane, Stelling Minnis CT4 6AD  

1 DAY FULL TREC at Levels 1 & 2 on Sept 20th 2025 at Knowler Farm, Stelling Minnis By kind permission of Sheena & Wayne Gifford We are running a 1 day affiliated TREC event at our favourite venue, Knowler Farm, Stelling Minnis, on Saturday 20thst 2025 Classes for level 1 and level 2, for pairs and individuals, which will all also be TREC GB Championship qualifiers. For those new to TREC here is a brief explanation, it is a three part competition, which you can do as an individual or a pair as it’s a one day competition it will be run in the following order. ME: Control of Paces – where you ride one way along a 2m wide corridor in canter as slow as possible and then back the other way in walk as fast as possible without breaking pace. PTV – Obstacles – You negotiate a course of 16 obstacles such as a gate, S bend, Reinback etc You get a mark for each obstacle and if you don’t wish to do any you may miss one and get 0 as long as you inform the Judge. POR:- Orienteering – You copy the master map onto the plain copy you are given and then set out to follow the route passing through checkpoints on the way. Level 1 – 150m COP – 16 Obstacles PTV – up to 15 km POR Level 2 – 150m COP – 16 Obstacles PTV – up to 20km POR This competition takes a lot of people to run and we have always had good support from the FDRC members at past events, as well as friends and families and hope many of you enjoyed your experiences in the past and will join us again, even half a day would be very much appreciated and you may enjoy something different to your usual horse pursuits.
