FDRC ANNUAL GENENERAL MEETING & AWARDS EVENING on FEB 28th 2025

Please note change of date - now Feb 28th. Venue: The White Lion , Selling ME13 9QR Time: 7pm for 7.30pm AGM, Presentation , Buffet and Social Evening Club prizes and awards, general social and finger buffet, paid bar. Who's invited: Members, Parents, Partners, Volunteers, Trainers.. Cost: £10/hd (the Club will be subsidising the buffet) Places to be booked via My Riding Life or through the 'What's on' section on the clubs website. MEMBERS ONLY STEADY NEDDY SOCIAL RIDE on MARCH  8th 

Date: Saturday – March 8th Time: 10.30 for 11.00 start Hard Box Parking: for up to 6 lorries/trailers at Selling School Length of Ride: up to 1hr 15m to 1hr 30m, at walk and trot Arrival 10.30 am for 11.00am ride start Places limited to 5 - MEMBERS ONLY Hard Hats & Hi-viz MUST be worn that conform to the latest BHS Guidelines The ride will cover Perry Woods (Selling), Bridleways & Quiet Lanes. These Social rides are aimed at Members who want a shorter and slightly slower ride and for novice horses and/or riders. At all times, the groups will go at the speed of the slowest rider. No one will be pressured to ride outside of their comfort zone Possibility of stopping at a Pub, weather permitting! – bring cash/card Route between 7 and 8 kms, which will take 1hr 15mins to 1hr 30mins, excluding Pub stop. .Please bring a drink and some treats to socialise, on our return. 😊 Cost £5 - Entries via MRL via the Button Above Please clear up after your horse and bring implements to do so.

AN INFORMATIVE  AFTERNOON with FRANCIS WHITINGTON on MARCH 9th

Saddlesdane, Badlesmere ME13 0NX 1.30pm start Francis is an established 5* level International Event rider based in East Sussex. He has a wealth of experience and has been fortunate enough to ride at the very highest level within the sport for many years. Francis will go through exercises and training for a younger horse and an experienced horse to show the difference in the training methods. He will also do pole exercises with take home ideas for jumping and flatwork improvements and suppleness. During the afternoon Francis will go through some exercises he does with his son Max (15) who is aiming for the junior showjumping teams this year. MEMBERS ONLY SOCIAL RIDE on MARCH  23rd

Broomfield Lodge, Rushmore Lane, Charing, ASHFORD, TN27 0AF Sunday 23rd March 2025, meet from 1100hrs, ready to ride for 1130hrs Organised and by kind permission of Brian Homewood and Gillian Ransome What3words vented.unearthly.timidly The ride will be for approx two and a half hours and will include a pub stop… please bring some money if you want a drink! Please bring something to 'socialise' with for after the ride (tea/coffee/cake etc!) The route will be on lanes and bridleways. Hardhats and plenty of Hiviz MUST be worn. At all times, the groups will go at the speed of the slowest or least confident rider. No one will be pressured to ride outside of their comfort zone. Each group will have a dedicate group leader. Please note that there are approx 10 bridleway gates to be negotiated. This ride is limited to 7 riders. Book early to avoid disappointment! Parking: The lanes to this venue are quite narrow and the turning in to the venue is quite tight from one particular direction, so it is best to access for large lorries ifrom Housefield Road direction. There is plenty of hard standing. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS, as the ground here will be soft and you may get stuck(as well as making a mess!) From Crockshard Farmhouse, Crockshard Hill, Wingham, CT3 1NY Organised and by kind permission of Philippa Ballerio Meet from 10.45am, ready to ride at 11am. This ride will be limited due to parking restrictions which will allow only 5 trailer/horse box parking spaces. The ride will be for approx two hours (weather dependant) and will include either one to two pub stops… please bring some money if you want a drink! Please bring something to 'socialise' with for after the ride (tea/coffee/cake etc!) The route will be on lanes and bridleways. Hiviz MUST be worn. This ride will include cantering (ground permitting), so you must be confident to canter in a group in an open space. Please be considerate to other riders in the group, and the Ride Leaders' word is final. Parking: For trailers and small lorries will be at Crockshard Farmhouse, please drive down the drive and park near to the barn and stables. These Social rides are aimed at Members who want a shorter and slightly slower ride and for older, younger or novice horses and/or riders. At all times, the groups will go at the speed of the slowest rider. No one will be pressured to ride outside of their comfort zone Please bring a drink and some treats to socialise, on our return. 😊 Cost £5 - As soon entries open we will email all members. SUMMER CAMP at WELWYN  STUD, CT18 7 on June 28th & 29th 

UPDATE!! FULLY BOOKED This is our 3rd annual camp. The 2 days include two ridden sessions per day including flat, Poles, SJ & XC. Stabling included. Camp is very laid back and suitable for all levels. THE COST is £180pp a 50% deposit will be required and your place will only be confirmed on receipt of the deposit.
