HOOFPRINT CHALLENGE 3  - 1st December to 31st January 2024

After the success of HPC 1 and 2 the committee has again decided to run the competition over the boring months of winter but with a slightly different format. Last years encouraged you to get groups of items in one photo with your horses/ponies to score more which was easier for those in built up areas but harder for those in the rural areas.

This year the aim is to snap photos of the items to make a line on the grid with your horse/pony in, uploading them as before to a folder on Fav RC Facebook page.

Scores are given for the value of that line of 4 and being one of the 1st  5 people to complete that line. 10 lines can be made vertically, horizontally or diagonally. (See rules below)

Entries can be made on My Riding Life.

 Via : https://www.favershamridingclub.com/whats-on

£16 for members and £20 for non-members and proceeds shared between the club and Air Ambulance.

The competition starts on 1st December and will end midnight on 31st January 2024 so that rosettes (1st-6th) and 1st prize of Fav RC bobble hat can be awarded at the AGM on 16th Feb 2024.

You can join at any time up to Jan 31st   but of course the earlier you enter the longer you have to find all your items.

When you have entered on MRL, a grid of 16 items will be e-mailed to you along with this info to print out. On 29th Nov I will send everyones grids in one go. You then have a day to plan where to hack out or walk in-hand from 1st Dec with your horse/pony.

When you have the 4 photos (or less- see below) of items in a line upload them to get the bonus asap. Keep finding items to make another line and so on until you’ve got all 16 which will give you all 10 lines and a full house bonus.

A second grid with more challenges will be sent out at the end of the 2023 and the scores added together.  You can still go on sending in photos for the first grid too up until closing date giving you the possibility of getting 20 lines completed!

Every 2 weeks I will update on FBook with scores of those that have entered.

So the hunt is on again for you to enjoy riding/walking out with your horse with mobile in your pocket.

Any questions just ask.

Veronica Crouch

RULES:

  • Only new photos will be accepted showing the item/s and clearly showing your horse/pony in picture. Just ears will be accepted. To avoid previous years photos a piece/s of pink ribbon/s must be visible on you or your horse/pony. Eg tied between ears on headpiece.

  • Photos uploaded must be tagged with your name and the items you’ve found in that line.

  • Only Photos uploaded to correct folder (Hoofprint Challenge 3) within Media tab on Fav RC Facebook page will be accepted.

  • No photoshopping!

Items from a line on the grid can be photographed individually or be in a group/pairs etc if easier to capture but no extra points are awarded for grouping. Eg 4 individuals or 2+2 or 3+1 or all 4 in one.

As FB keeps photos in order of upload this will determine when they were uploaded so I can work out who got a line before someone else.

You do not need to submit the same photo for a different line just the ones left to complete that line. Therefore only 16 photos or less are needed.
