Something a little different.... This is for those who have 12hh and under ponies, either as companions or retired and want to take them for a social outing ... it could be rather jolly... It will be like a dog walk but with our little ponies... Meet at 10.30am to leave at 11am Approx 90mins Mix of quiet lanes & woodland bridleways. Max 5 horses (incl host). . HiViz must still be worn by handlers and ponies must be bridled or have a controlling headcollar. No Dogs as I think a group of cheeky ponies will be enough for anyone to handle! £5 per household (as some members might have two or more ponies)... A L1 & L2 AFFILIATED TREC COMPETITION on SATURDAY 20th SEPTEMBER

The FDRC & South East Trec are running a One Day Full Affiliated TREC Competition on: Saturday September 20th. 2025 Entries OPEN If anyone is coming from outside the area there is limited overnight corralling within 15 minutes of the venue. Contact Sarah at sreith@sky.com There will be three phases: The MA - Control of Paces at Walk/ Canter on a 150m track The PTV - Riding a course of 16 Obstacles The POR - Orienteering Level 1- up to 15 km / Level 2 up to 20km Classes 1 & 2 are suitable for those with little or no TREC Experience There is are special Newcomers awards in each class. You can ride as an individual or as a pair. The competition will take place on grass with the POR (Orienteering) being mainly along quiet lanes, woodland tracks and farmland. HELPERS: We would love all of you to compete but TREC competitions take lots of helpers to run and it would be wonderful if some of you who are not competing could come & help us run it. No experience needed for many of the tasks and tea/coffee and a lovely packed lunch provided. Most tasks would not be more than 4.5 - 5 hours. FDRC 1 DAY CAMP with ANN BERRY at Welwyn Stud, Hawkinge Folkestone Kent CT18 8LS CANCELLED

Arrive Saturday between 9 and 9.30. Ann Berry will be your host and instructor – with a wealth of experience Ann is an Accredited British Horse Society Instructor & Level 5 accredited coach. The former owner of Limes Farm Equestrian Centre with over 100 horses at the training Centre and premier show venue. Horses and riders will be divided into groups. First group will start at 10am Two ridden sessions per group. 1st lesson flatwork/polework. 2nd lesson either cross country or jumping Stabling for your horses is provided. This maybe an indoor American barn style on shavings. Automatic waterers are in place but feel free to bring your own water bucket if your horse hasn’t used automatic water system before. If you have any specific requirements, please let us know. You will need your own mucking out tools and we appreciated beds being left up on departure.
